Steve Bannon is sending a loud warning to Donald Trump and the Republican Party. He says many MAGA supporters are not excited about the 2026 midterms. In his words, there is a massive lack of enthusiasm.
Bannon, who once advised Trump, said Republicans are acting scared during the fight over Homeland Security funding. They are trying to avoid a government shutdown, and he thinks they look weak.
On his War Room podcast, he told them to step up and do something. He said many supporters are saying they are just not feeling it right now.
Bannon pointed to polls from conservative pollsters Rich Baris and Mark Mitchell. The numbers show trouble for Republicans in November. Baris said that if the party wants a comeback, something needs to change fast.
Early polls from Big Data Poll show Democrats ahead. The first numbers say 46.1 percent of likely voters would choose a Democrat and 42 percent would pick a Republican. Democrats also have a big lead among voters who are extremely excited to vote.
Mark Mitchell from Rasmussen Reports said the Trump team chose drama over results and now they are paying the price. He wrote that the last few months look messy with fights over costs, jobs, foreign issues and the Epstein fallout. He said voters notice when things feel reactive instead of steady.
Some MAGA supporters also say Trump is spending too much time on world issues. They want him to focus more on the rising cost of living at home.
